Korea buys more rebar from Taiwan
[ 2010-2-4 ]
It is reproted that Korean players can accept a higher price level for rebar because of the recent price rise in the local market.
It is believed that Taiwan’s rebar quotation to Korea is remaining steady at US$600/ton; however, market information has it that the quotation to the Korean market has, in fact, been adjusted to US$570/ton.
In consideration of long-term cooperative relationships, mills will allow a US$10/ton discount. A Taiwanese trader said that Korea was actively enquiring about the price as the country’s rebar stocks level is low. |
